To turn a 100-year-old townhouse in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, into a lush single-family home, our team worked on a gut renovation of three full floors, while maintaining some of the historic features, and introducing contemporary accents.
Special attention was made to preserve many of the house’s original detailing, while layering in new materials and lighting, creating a home that has layers of old and new throughout. With the parlour floor of the Bed Stuy townhouse maintaining much of its character, visitors will enjoy much of the era’s taste and sensibility, with other spaces upgraded to provide for the daily needs of the family.
