The 4th year of K&Co and Pliskin Architecture’s rainbow pool installations on Roosevelt Island is under way, this year featuring art by Technodome1 (a.k.a Takun Williams).
To assist with the installation, the K&Co and pa|nyc teams stopped by last week in support of this year’s 8,000sf mural. Patrick Mandeville of Divided Line, who created the videos for the 2nd and 3rd years of the installation, was also on site to capture process videos of this years work.
This week’s work saw the addition of the light blue (‘Sea to Shining Sea’) as part of the completion of the mural. The #MP_PoolParty installation series implements the same colors each year, with each artist bringing their own style and hand writing to create their interpretation of a rainbow palette around the pool at Manhattan Park.

…and resting in unpainted islands.
This is Techodrome1’s 1st large scale mural, and joins HOTTEA, Andrew Faris, and Gregg V Emery as a creator in the rainbow pool installation series.
