We’re excited to announce that Leonard Street Rowhouse, our project for LTNG in Greenpoint, was honored with a 2025 SARA (Society of American Registered Architects) Merit Award, an annual program recognizing the best projects across the country.

Completed in 2025, the 2-unit rowhouse in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, attempts to infuse new life into a trusted typology: formally, the building borrows from the Brooklyn residential vernacular to create a contemporary yet familiar home that is both distinct and contextual; programmatically, it forms a townhouse and a penthouse, each conceived with families’ needs in mind, housing two familiar NYC apartment types within the same envelope.

Located on a quiet street behind Manhattan Ave in Greenpoint, the apartments at the Leonard Street Rowhouse were conceived with families in mind. A residential street with access to various amenities, this infill site allowed us to reimagine the Brooklyn apartment as a lush and welcoming oasis. The building borrows from the vernacular of Brooklyn homes from the past two centuries – masonry façade, punched openings, a shared stoop, wood accents, and planters create a façade that is both contemporary and familiar, affording two families a home that is distinct and integrates into its context.
