The Boerum Hill Townhouse involved the complete transformation of a 125-year-old brick row-house in Brooklyn. The aim was to create a modern family home that fits in the historic character of the neighborhood while providing all the amenities required for comfortable living. The renovation included a complete gut of the property, stripping back the interior to the studs, with the final result was 4-bedroom home with tall ceilings, a large parlour floor, a family room, and a spacious rear yard. The design of the home was carefully considered to balance modern features with the original details of the building. The renovation will also include the installation of new plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, as well as upgrades to the insulation and roofing to improve energy efficiency.
