Juno, the latest startup to join the ride-sharing space in NYC, has recently moved their global headquarters to 1 World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan. Their new offices, designed by Pitsou Kedem Architects, Baranowitz & Goldberg Architects, and Pliskin Architecture, occupies a north-facing suite on one of the highest office floors in the downtown super-tall tower. Juno’s offices were designed to leverage the spectacular views from the space – the design team worked to limit obstructions, implemented a minimalist palette, and positioned open offices and lounges spaces adjacent to the floor-to-ceiling glass walls that surround the suite. For the Juno offices, the design team left several core walls exposed and kept the original markings by the construction crews in tact, and left the majority of the ceiling open – as a result, the design creates a contrast between its sleek furniture and the raw building infrastructure, to create a space that is unique to its setting in the building and supportive of the work conducted within its walls.
