Bed Stuy Townhouse, Brooklyn, NY

Expected completion: 2016.

A renovation of a 100-year-old townhouse in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, including vertical expansion, facade upgrades, and a gut renovation of the main living areas. Restoring many of the house’s original detailing, while layering new accents and materials, the building will have layers of old and new throughout. With the parlour floor maintaining much of its character, visitors will enjoy much of the era’s taste and sensibility. The living spaces, and the new addition on the roof, will have contemporary accents to complement the family’s daily lives and activities.
