Spanning the full floor of a Brickell tower, Varonis‘ new Miami headquarters test the boundaries of what a technology company’s workplace can be — bold, layered, and unapologetically designed.

The project balances two distinct personalities united under one roof. The west half is anchored by a vibrant Employee Commons: a large breakroom and multi-purpose gathering space designed to accommodate a range of activities. The breakroom is lined with forest-green cabinetry, open shelving against fluted tile, terrazzo floors, and hanging greenery woven through wood-slat ceiling baffles, creating a space that feels closer to a bright restaurant than a corporate cafeteria. The green backdrop is accented with warm red-orange storage cabinets, and a fluted wood island, rounding out the pantry’s considered palette. To the north and south of the Commons, large open workspaces, with diverse workstations and bright, open collaboration areas, offer employees a range of settings for focused and shared work alike.

The east half contrasts the work areas both in program and in atmosphere. An Executive Briefing Center (EBC) leans towards a members’ lounge in its design, anchoring the new headquarters and serving as the warm welcome center for visiting clients, and offering sweeping views of Brickell Key and Biscayne Bay. Clad in Venetian plaster, lined with warm leather furnishing, and featuring a dramatic grid-lit display shelf, the EBC lounge channels the gravitas of a private club. This Executive Briefing Center is purpose-built for client engagement, features a generous boardroom with a bespoke inlaid conference table, built-in AV technology, and large LED display walls, alongside a series of intimate wood-paneled conference suites that offer a range of gathering sizes and formats.

Together, the two halves create a workplace of genuine duality – one that supports the local team, offers a destination for visiting team members, and impresses clients and guests in equal measure.
