Collaboration with K&Co
Ongoing, 2014-present.

Manhattan Park is an 8.5-acre waterfront rental community on Roosevelt Island in NYC. Pliskin Architecture, along with K&Co, leads ongoing capital improvements and renovations to help elevate the design standard of the campus in a heated residential market. The project includes upgrades to public spaces, apartments, lobbies, hallways and amenities across 4 buildings. Communal areas are now accentuated with natural materials, a warm and sleek palette, and a series of amenities that encourage residents to engage with one another.

A standout aspect of the Manhattan Park project is the annual art installations at Manhattan Park’s pool. Each summer since 2015 an artist is commissioned to create an 8,000sf immersive mural encompassing the pool and pool deck. Residents and visitors alike enjoy the playful atmosphere that invigorates the surrounding public spaces. The colorful designs are complemented with furnishings by K&Co and Pliskin Architecture. Installations to date include murals by HOT TEA in 2015, Andrew Faris in 2016, Gregg Emery in 2017, Technodrome1 in 2018, and Elizabeth Sutton in 2019.
