It’s been a remarkable year of industry recognition for the Leonard Street Rowhouse – a feature in AIA Brooklyn’s Brooklyn NOW! 2026 exhibition, an NYCxDESIGN Award in the City House category, a feature in the 2026 real estate showcase of Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, and most recently, a Merit Award from SARA NY.

Completed in 2025, this 2-unit rowhouse in Greenpoint, Brooklyn sets out to reimagine the Brooklyn apartment as a private, welcoming oasis. The building draws from two centuries of Brooklyn residential vernacular – masonry façade, punched openings, a shared stoop, wood accents, and planters – creating a home that is both contemporary and familiar, housing a townhouse and a penthouse within the same envelope, each conceived with families in mind.

None of this would be possible without the shared vision between client and architect. LTNG brought a clear brief – family-forward homes that honor the Brooklyn residential vernacular – and we brought the design clarity to elevate that brief far beyond what either party might have envisioned alone.
