Proposal, 2017.

Working with a local Not-For-Profit, Pliskin Architecture developed a proposal for a community center in Harlem, which aims to create innovative preventive action initiatives within the local community. With a goal of awareness and prevention through education and action. A program was developed that forms a diverse community center that can address nutrition, exercise, and health counseling. Through a variety of spaces, including dance studios, a learning kitchen, a fresh food market, and a health clinic, the center’s programs take a fresh look at issues concerning the neighborhood that contribute to health disparity, with specific focus on LGBT communities of color in NYC. Images above are in process visualizations of the center, and were accompanied by development budget created by our team.
