For this proposal for a series of vacation homes in Mexico, the design team tried to create a modern take on a jungle getaway. Pairing sleek lines and raw concrete with natural materials and expansive views towards the jungle, we tried to create a series of spaces that both encourage living outdoors while providing shelter whenever needed. Tall ceilings, operable walls, infinity pool that finds its way indoors, and contemporary furnishings work together to pull the jungle into the houses, while the simple geometry maintains the homes as a visible destination within the thick brush around them.
